Sangria For Every Season

What is refreshing, crisp, beautiful to serve and a crowd pleaser?!  Why, sangria, of course!

It is one of our most favorite beverages to serve at weddings. Here are a few reasons why:

1. Whether you (or your guests) like wine or cocktails - this will satisfy both cravings. Not too sweet, yet not too dry...you cover a wide group of tastes.

2. You can make it in advance! As long as you have refrigerator space, sangria is much better the next day. This is just one less step you have to worry about the day-of, if you are trying to be a DIY diva!

3. Sangria is color-scheme, holiday & season friendly. You aren’t tied to just 'red' or 'white'. Consider creating an ombre theme by tinting the basic White Sangria recipe (see below) with fresh berry juices or syrups (blackberry - blueberry - strawberry - clementine - even pomegranate is amazing!)

4. It presents beautifully! Glass spigot jars full of sangria, herbs and cranberries - or even individual glasses filled with apple, orange, lemon slices make a beautiful station. Try whole blackberries and sage...or mint and strawberries...the possibilities are endless! (One tip - if you are filling spigot jars, make sure the fruit/berries you use will float. You don't want them to sink and clog up the spigot!)

Give our go-to recipes a shot...and let us know what you think! Feel free to make your own spin with different fruit juices or purees!
